TRX: Suspension Training is a type of bodyweight exercise in which a variety of multi-planar, compound exercise movements can be performed. These are done with the aim of developing strength, balance, flexibility, and joint stability simultaneously. Suspension Training can be considered a type of resistance training.
Randy Hetrick, a former Navy Seal and Stanford MBA graduate, developed TRX equipment and the associated Suspension Training bodyweight exercises in the 1990s, and started marketing it in 2005.
Circuit training is a form of conditioning combining resistance training and high-intensity aerobics. It is designed to be easy to follow and target strength building as well as muscular endurance. An exercise “circuit” is one completion of all prescribed exercises in the program. When one circuit is complete, one begins the first exercise again for another circuit. Traditionally, the time between exercises in circuit training is short, often with rapid movement to the next exercise.
Indoor Laser Light Cycling (aka Spinning TM): A typical class involves a single instructor at the front of the class who leads the participants through routines that are designed to simulate terrain and situations similar to riding a bike outdoors. Some of the movements and positions include hill climbs, sprints and interval training. A well-trained instructor uses music, motivation, visualization and enthusiastic coaching to lead students through a ride that best suits their fitness level and goals. Most instructors will lead what is called an interval ride, this is where students will sprint, run, climb, and jump all in the same ride but there will not be definable pattern to the exercises.
Booty Camp aka BOOT CAMP: training combines running, interval training, and many other exercises using weights and/or body weight to lose body fat, increase cardiovascular efficiency, increase strength, and help people get into a routine of regular exercise. The term “boot camp” is currently used in the fitness industry to describe group fitness classes that promote fat loss, camaraderie and team effort. They are designed to push people a little bit further than they would normally push themselves in the gym alone. Boot Camps are often organized outdoors. Using bodyweight exercises like push ups, squats, suspension training and burpees, interspersed with running and competitive games. The idea is that everyone involved works at their own pace as they team up and work towards one goal, either in pairs, small teams. Boot camps provide social support for those taking part. This provides a different environment for those exercisers who get bored in a gym and so find it hard to develop a habit of exercise. Participants make friends and socialize as they exercise. Usually held outdoors the activities include jogging, sprinting, plyometrics, push-ups, pull-ups, squats, lunges, suspension training and a variety of other calisthenic exercises. An advantage of a bootcamp is that the large group dynamic will often help motivate the participants. There are many other benefits of a fitness bootcamp. These include mental health. It has long been known that regularly aerobic exercise can help to reduce high blood pressure, hypertension, combat stress to the release of endorphins, which act as a mood elevator.
Stott Pilates: is an approach to the original Pilates exercise method developed by the late Joseph Pilates and a form of physical fitness.
Principles: The Stott Pilates method has exercises designed to restore the natural curves of the spine and rebalance the muscles around the joints. The Stott Pilates method places more emphasis on scapular stabilization than other methods do. The method focuses on the following five basic principles
▪ Breathing
▪ Pelvic placement
▪ Ribcage placement
▪ Scapular movement
▪ Head and cervical spine placement

Kettlebell: The kettlebell or girya (Russian: гиря) is a cast iron weight (resembling a cannonball with a handle) used to perform ballistic exercises that combine cardiovascular, strength and flexibility training. Sizes may range from 4 pounds (1.8 kg) to 175 pounds (79 kg).Unlike traditional dumbbells, the kettlebell’s center of mass is extended beyond the hand. This facilitates ballistic and swinging movements.By their nature, typical kettlebell exercises build strength and endurance, particularly in the lower back, legs, and shoulders, and increase grip strength. The basic movements, such as the swing, snatch, and the clean and jerk, engage the entire body at once, and in a way that mimics real world activities such as shoveling or farm work. The movements used in kettlebell exercise can be dangerous to those who have back or shoulder problems, or a weak core. They also have a center of mass extended beyond the hand and allow for swing movements and release moves with added safety and added grip, wrist, arm and core strengthening due to the shifting fill material.
